Color !
Fall is here. And so am I – until…. I fly to Algeria next week. Algeria?
Yes, Algeria. My daughter, Ariella, is celebrating her marriage to Ramzi Nia in Algiers. And I, who am not an eager traveler, am going! Flying over the Atlantic, then the Mediterranean, to northern Africa, to a country I would not have heard so much about if these two special people didn’t live there now.
So, what am I doing to get ready?
Dressing in colors! My friend, Andrea, who lives in Denver, which feels like the far end of nowhere for someone with Lyme (my world has gotten so small), contacted me sharing her excitement about going to the wedding. So exciting to see Ariella again and meet Ramzi! And on top of that, this wedding was in Africa so she could really dress. Yes, dress in colors! She’s spent time on that continent and speaks from experience. So, how could I not get excited as well?
I am!
This may not be the last blog post I send before boarding Air France, but I have been busy ahead of time doing what I can to prepare my online shopping site, to open it soon after I return from far away colorful lands and am back here, where the leaves will be a source of that joy.
And I hope you check for my blog the week of October 14. While I’m recovering from jet lag, I plan to send a post asking for your input before I finalize the setup for my shop. It’ll be a couple of quick questions. You know I value what you have to say, so I hope to hear back from you then. Just getting my shop set up: that’s been a “trip” in itself.
Yes, I’m going to Algeria. Wow. Color! And so, so much more to look forward to there.
(Peaches: Color? I’m just dreaming about all the good loving I get from Ariella and Ramzi)
