Is the sun every going to come up? It’s a November morning, before the time changes and we get later mornings. If you’re someone who gets up early-early, you notice it’s even darker now than on the shortest day of the year.
It was a calm morning: look at it! A few hours later, just as I was getting ready for my morning kayak ride with Peaches, there was a wind. The phone weather said: “Light rain for 23 minutes.” I decided to wait (unusual for me) and strode up my driveway, umbrella in hand. The rain? It came down in torrents! And the wind was howlingi, bringing down leaves. Maybe 10 minutes later: calm. No rain. Peaches and I boarded the kayak, went out for our little ride and came back. Easy.
It’s sunny now and the wind is back to BLOWING. I feel so glad that I had that moment in time for the sweet lake time with Peaches. (wild weather!)
